Dora Padluk

Dora Padluk Immutketwyluk was born in 1943 in an outpost camp near Inujjuaq, Quebec. Her testimony includes childhood memories of camp life and relocation. Dora was sent to a southern hospital for treatment for a few years. When she returned, she found out that her parents had been relocated to Resolute Bay and were living in very precarious conditions. As an adult, she witnessed all of her husband’s dogs being shot by RCMP officers while he was in the hospital.
